The Primera E140 is a powerful and highly efficient saddle stitcher. Thanks to its new, ergonomic design and modern control concept, it is extremely user-friendly and can be setup quickly. The E140 is a reliable machine which guarantees a high degree of efficiency and therefore is the perfect additions to Gemini’s finishing department.
The modular design makes it possible to expand the saddle stitcher individually. The extensive range of configuration possibilities and the large range of sizes allows flexibility when job planning. Automatic loading, gathering, stitching, trimming, inserting, film wrapping, addressing and palletizing are all integrated inline. This means that the E140 encompasses the whole value-added chain of print finishing.
The E140 is equipped with Amrys (Automatic Make Ready System). The feeder, stitcher, trimmer and stacker can be quickly and automatically set to a desired size. This means The E140 has the shortest setup time on the market. The signatures are guided extremely efficiently due to the four gripper principle. They are mounted on a solid, vibration reduced universal base, which can be arranged in any order with minimal disturbance. The flat pile feeder processes all signature types with low folio, high folio and without lap. The E140’s three knife trimming system offers precision cutting, easy operation and the intelligent hood design which allows simple inspection and accessibility. Every book is checked inline via the E140’s built in photo electric cell. The cell takes precise measurements of every book to keep job unity.
